Environmental Issues

Dew Drips On Flowers In The Early Morning

There are many different types of environmental issues in our world, sadly most of them are caused by us as people. Listed below is some of the issues and it explains how they are caused.

  1. Pollution

  2. → Pollution is water, soil and noise, but also light, visual, point and non-point sources. It is the dumping of waste in areas or gases that are emitted from vehicles that we use. We as human beings are majorly responsible for causing pollution.
→ Water pollution is caused by oil spills, urban runoff and ocean dumping
→ Air pollution rises from burning of fossil fuels, hydraulic fracturing and gases emitted by vehicles.

  3. Climate Change

  4. → Climate change is becoming less of a natural occurrence and more because of humans and their actions.

  5. Global Warming

  6. → Global warming is an environmental issue that increases the Earth's temperature because of the effect of greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases include carbon dioxide, methane, water vapor and other gases.
→ These gases are able to trap heat, to create the greenhouse effect. These gases help the planet remain warm, so people survive, without the gases the planet will be to cold for any life to exist.

  7. Deforestation

  8. → As population grows throughout the world, more food, shelter and cloth is needed. To overcome the demand for all things the resolution has been to cut down forests and trees.
→ Deforestation means, clearing forests or green areas for industrial or urban use. this involves permanent end of forest cover to make land available for human use.

  9. Overpopulation

  10. → Humans cause many of the environmental issues in our world today from water pollution, resources crisis, gender imbalance, pollution, land pollution and deforestation. These are only of the few of the dangerous issues caused by overpopulation.
→ In some countries the government has taken control and has limited the amount of children you are allowed to have, however this isn't that effective and overpopulation is difficult to control at international levels.
→ There is no method that is 100% effective to resolve the problem of overpopulation.
