In this mini-topic students will learn what bits and bytes are, what binary code is and how it can be used to count.

Open Source software ‘Scratch’ offers an introduction to the concepts of logical thinking and computer programming. Students use blocks of pre-made code to create sequences of instructions including conditionals, variables and loops.
